Stephen Blackwood: Registered Bowen Technique Therapist
I am a registered Bowen therapist based in Ealing, West London, and drawing clients from many nearby areas including Greenford, Chiswick, Acton, Hammersmith, Shepherds Bush and Richmond. I specialise in Bowen Technique for musculo-skeletal conditions such as injuries, sprains, postural disorders and arthritis, allergies and bronchial disorders, and many other problems ranging from high blood pressure to tinnitus.
How I came to Bowen
For many years I was rendered incapacitated by a severe postural disorder. Failed by traditional medicine, I turned to complementary techniques to aid my recovery. Throughout this prolonged period of incapacity, I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience of a wide range of disciplines, including Deep Tissue Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu and Acupressure, as well as studying diet and nutrition.
I worked as Health Editor for national newspaper Disability Times, for which I reviewed a number of health techniques of which I had personal experience and found Bowen to be an exceptional aid to recovery.
I was so impressed that I trained as a Bowen therapist in order to bring others the exceptional results I had experienced. I attained a Distinction in ITEC’s Anatomy and Physiology and also hold an Appointed Person’s First Aid Certificate.
I am a full member of the Bowen Therapists European Register (BTER).
